Lacrosse:  Unbeaten Piedmont pulls away from Panthers in second half

Piedmont pulled away in the second half to down LaGrange 20-4 in a USA South game Wednesday. The Panthers slipped to 1-9 overall and 0-5 in the conference.

Piedmont (10-0, 5-0 USA South) scored the games first seven goals. The Panthers got back-to-back goals from Alexis Dillard and Madeline LaCavera to make it 7-2. The Lady Lions got the last two goals of the half to make it 9-2.

LaCavera kept the Panthers in the game with a pair of goals in the opening five minutes of the second half as Piedmont led 11-4. But the Lady Lions took control of the game, scoring the last nine goals of the game for the 20-4 final.

The Panthers host Methodist in their final USA South game Sunday at 12 p.m.
