Olivia Monroe's career day carried LaGrange to a 13-11 win over visiting N.C. Wesleyan on Sunday at Panther Field.
Monroe led all scorers with a career-high six goals as the Panthers improved to 1-1 in the USA South and 2-4 overall.
The two teams swapped goals over the first 13 minutes of the first half. Monroe broke a 3-3 tie with a free position goal and an unassisted one for a 5-3 lead with less than six minutes left in the half.
With the clock winding down, Kelsey Griffin got the first of her three goals. She scored unassisted with just 12 seconds showing for a 6-4 halftime lead.
The Bishops (0-3, 0-2 USA South) scored just 12 seconds into the second half. Cheyenne St. Germain answered for the Panthers in 36 seconds and Monroe followed less than a minute later to make it 8-5.
Leading 9-7, the Panthers scored four of the next five goals to build a commanding lead. Monroe had two of the goals, while Alexis Dillard accounted for two goals with an assist and a goal of her own. Griffin closed out the Panthers' scoring with 9:02 left to make it 13-8.
The Bishops got the final three goals of the game, the last coming at the horn for the 13-11 final.
The Panthers host Oglethorpe in a non-conference game Thursday at 7 p.m.
