Lacrosse: Senior Night marks final home game
LaGrange fell to visiting Berry 15-11 on Senior Night at Panthers Field. Ali Burnette, Paige Castle, Tiffany Dillard and Becky Robertson were honored before the game. The loss closes out the season for the Panthers, who finished 6-10 on the year.
Closing out a solid season between the pipes for the Panthers was junior goalkeeper Chelsea Totaro, who tied her career-high with 23 saves. Totaro also collected five ground balls and caused two turnovers. Also contributing for the defense was Castle with a career and game-high of 10 ground balls, while adding three caused turnovers. Dillard chipped in with five caused turnovers and three ground balls.
Junior Kelsey Griffin once again lead the attack for the Panthers by scoring four goals. She finished the season leading the team with 48 goals scored. Sophomore Sophia Durand contributed three goals, while sophomores Ashley Davis and Olivia Monroe, along with junior Audrey Fortmann and Castle, each netted one.
The four seniors were all founding members of the Panther lacrosse program and have seen the program's overall record improve with each season played.
