Lacrosse: Greensboro knocks Panthers out of USA South tournament

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Greensboro knocked LaGrange from the USA South Tournament with a 14-4 win Saturday.

The Panthers (6-9) played The Pride (8-8) on even terms in the second half after falling behind 10-0 at halftime.

Four different Panthers scored in the second half. Kelsey Griffin scored her team-leading 44th goal of the season. Griffin's goal was followed by a goal from Alexis Dillard, Tiffany Dillard, and Audrey Fortmann.

Goalie Chelsea Totaro had 18 saves in the game. She had 12 in the first half alone.

The Panthers close out the 2013 season Tuesday against Berry. It will be Senior Night for Ali Burnette, Paige Castle, Tiffany Dillard, and Becky Robertson.
