LaGrange fell 21-6 to visiting Ferrum College on Saturday afternoon in a USA South game. The Panthers are 5-5 overall and 2-2 in the conference.
Junior Kelsey Griffin reached a career milestone and set a new season record in the game. Griffin scored five of the Panthers' six goals, as sophomore Ashley Davis scored the remaining goal off of a free position shot late in the second half of the game.
Griffin's last goal of the game was her 100th career goal, the first Panther to reach the milestone. The five goals gave her 38 on the season, breaking her own mark of 36 set last season.
Griffin also collected a team-high of six draw controls, while Davis and junior Kristin Bird each gained possession twice for the Panthers.
Leading the way for the defense was junior goalkeeper Chelsea Totaro with 13 saves, five groundballs and five caused turnovers. Bird recorded four groundballs and two caused turnovers, while freshman Raquel Manzo recorded four groundballs and a caused turnover.
The Panthers host Greensboro on Sunday in a USA South contest beginning at 1 p.m.
