Lacrosse: Panthers land four on USA South All-Conference teams

The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its All-Conference awards for lacrosse. A total of 44 student-athletes have been named to the 2012 USA South All-Conference teams.

LaGrange had four players named to the teams. Freshman Ashley Davis was selected to the defense second team. Junior defender Tiffany Dillard, along with sophomores Kelsey Griffin, an attacker and goalkeeper Chelsea Totaro received honorable mention honors.

Davis tied for third on the team with eight goals and was second with 26 ground balls and 24 draw controls. Dillard started all 12 games and tied for third with Davis with eight goals. She was third on the team with 22 ground balls. Griffin led the team and was seventh in the USA South with a school single-season record of 36 goals. Totaro set a school single-season record of 145 saves. She led the USA South in saves and was among the conference leaders in save percentage, goals against and goals against average.

Representing LaGrange on the All-Sportsmanship Team was sophomore Shelby Gentry.
