Women's Lacrosse: Panthers beat N.C. Wesleyan for first-ever win
ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - LaGrange got its first ever win Sunday, beating N.C. Wesleyan 9-7 in a USA South game. The Panthers are 1-3 overall and in USA South play. The Bishops dropped to 0-5 on the season and 0-2 in conference play.
Crystal Colvin and Kelsey Griffin combined to score all of the Panther goals. Colvin had five goals and an assist, while Griffin had the other four goals and an assist. Griffin also had seven ground balls to lead the team.
The Panthers were outshot in the game 26-23. Panther goalkeeper Chelsea Totaro had 13 saves in the game.
The Panthers host Missouri Baptist on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
