Oberlin uses big first half to top Panthers 13-4

Oberlin built a commanding 10-1 halftime lead. The Panthers played the Yeowomen on even terms in the second half.

Panther goal keeper Catherine Proctor recorded 23 saves in 45 minutes of playing time. Brittany Seltrecht added three more saves in the final 15 minutes.

Oberlin opened up a 5-0 lead 13 minutes into the game. Grace Amber, who finished with a game-high four goals, scored twice and assisted on another for the Yeowomen.

The Panthers got on the board with 12 minutes left in the half. Hannah Ramsahai beat the Oberlin defense to score unassisted. The Yeowomen answered with five straight goals to take a 10-1 lead at the half.

The Panthers opened the scoring in the second half. Raukisha Ray scored six minutes into the half to make it 10-2. Oberlin built a 13-2 lead heading to the final minute.

The Panthers scored twice in the final minute. Crystal Colvin scored both of the goals in a span of 14 seconds for the 13-4 final.

The game was the final home game for the Panthers. They will be on the road for their final five games.
