Panthers finish inaugural season with two losses

After losing 18-0 to the University of the South on Friday, the Panthers lost 18-7 to the University of Dallas on Saturday.

The Panthers took a 2-0 lead against the Crusaders. Crystal Colvin and Hannah Ramsahai scored 22 seconds apart just two minutes into the game.

Dallas answered with three straight goals by Christine McFarland to go up 3-2. The Panthers retook the lead with two straight goals. Ramsahai tied the game and Kayla Black put the Panthers up 4-3 with 7:19 left in the half.

The Crusaders tied the game 4-4 just 20 seconds after Black's goal. Colvin got her second goal of the half to put the Panthers up 5-4. But McFarland gave the Crusaders a 6-5 lead with two more goals, the second goal coming as the time expired in the half.

In the second half, Dallas scored the first nine goals to build a 15-5 lead. Ramsahai got her third goal of the game and Ashley Hoglund scored to make it 15-7. The Crusaders added three more goals for the 18-7 final.
