Panthers fall to Agnes Scott in debut of women's lacrosse

The Panthers scored the first goal just 48 seconds into the game.
Sophomore  midfielder Crystal Colvin scored unassisted to put the Panthers up 1-0.

Agnes Scott's Alicia Logan scored three straight goals over a 10-minute span to put the Scotties up 3-1. Logan added two more goals and Rebecca Rowe scored four goals to give the Scotties a 9-1 lead at halftime.

The Scotties added five more goals in the second half for the 14-1 final. Rowe tied Logan for game honors with her fifth goal to close out the scoring.

The Panthers were outshot 27-6 in the game. Panther goalkeeper Catherine Proctor had 11 saves in the game.

The Panthers play at Ferrum (Va.) on Saturday and at Greensboro (N.C.) on Sunday. The Panthers host Methodist for their first home game next Friday at 3 p.m.
