Panthers fall to Agnes Scott 14-5
It was the season loss of the season for the Panthers to Agnes Scott. The Scotties won the first meeting 14-1 in the season opener for both teams.
The Panthers got goals from four different players. Crystal Colvin led the Panthers with two goals. Kayla Black, Anna Byars and Marti Williams each scored a goal. Black also had an assist.
Agnes Scott had a 28-23 shot advantage in the game. Panther goalkeepers Catherine Proctor and Brittany Seltrecht combined for 14 saves in the game.
The Scotties led 3-0 midway through the first half. The Panthers scored two of the next three goals to make it a 4-2 game. Colvin opened the Panthers' scoring and Byars scored less than a minute later.
Agnes Scott scored the last four goals of the half to lead 8-2 at halftime. The Scotties scored two goals in the first five minutes of the second half to open up a 10-2 lead.
Williams scored the first goal of the half for the Panthers to make it 10-3. Black scored with 12 minutes left, and then assisted on Colvin's second goal to close out the scoring.
The Panthers host Oberlin on Sunday in their final home game. Game time is 2 p.m.
