Swimming: Panther teams go on road against Berry

ROME, Ga. - The LaGrange swim teams competed against Berry on Saturday. It was the second meet of the season for the teams, as all swimmers for the Panthers improved their times from the Mars Hill meet.

Josh Ledbetter was first in the men's 100-freestyle, improving by half a second in the event over his time at Mars Hill. Ledbetter was also second in the 200 Individual medley and third in the 100 butterfly.

For the women, Haley Dent swam personal bests in the 100 breaststroke and 50 freestyle. She was first in the 100 free, second in the 50 freestyle and third in the 100 breaststroke.

Madison Brasselle had a personal best time in the 100 breaststroke. She was second in the 200 and 500 freestyle events, dropping 14 seconds in the event since Mars Hill.

Paige Castle swam personal bests in the 50 and 100 freestyle events; finishing third in the 100. Becky Robertson had second place finishes in the 100 backstroke, 100 freestyle and as the final leg of the 400 free relay.

Ledbetter and Dent were selected as the team's Swimmers of the Meet.

The Panthers travel to the University of the South for a two-day invitational next Friday and Saturday.
