Junior Kayla Folds was named the Great South Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for the week ending April 1. Folds helped lead the Panthers to a 5-1 record during the week, including 4-0 in the GSAC.
Folds went 3-0 with three complete games and three shutouts. In 19 innings, she allowed 11 hits, did not walk a batter and struck out 24. Opponents had a .159 batting average against her. Folds threw a one-hitter against Wesleyan and finished her week with a two-hitter against Berry.
In her last five starts, Folds is 4-1 with a 0.84 earned run average. She is second in the GSAC with 94 strikeouts in 111 innings of work.
