Softball: Panthers sweep Agnes Scott 11-4 and 11-0

DECATUR, Ga. - LaGrange swept a GSAC doubleheader from Agnes Scott on Saturday. The Panthers (19-12, 7-3 GSAC) won the first game 11-4 and completed the sweep with a 11-0 shutout in the second game.

Sophomore Laura Webber hit her third and fourth home runs of the season to lead the Panthers. Webber finished the doubleheader with four hits, four runs scored and five RBIs.

The Panthers had 29 hits in the two games. Kayla Folds, Katie Ison and Megan Wing also had four hits. Folds and Ison had doubles included in their hits. Hanna Patterson and Jessica Quesada had four RBIs each.

Lacee Landrum (4-3) went the distance to get the win in the first game. She gave up three earned runs, eight hits, walked three and struck out six.

Danielle LaDuron pitched 2-2/3 innings in the second game to get the win. She and Folds combined on a two-hitter as the game ended after five innings because of the mercy rule.

The Panthers host Huntingdon in a GSAC doubleheader Wednesday beginning at 5 p.m.
