Men's Tennis: Panthers have strong showing at ITA regional championships at Emory

ATLANTA, Ga. - The LaGrange men's tennis team had a strong showing Saturday and Sunday at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's regional championships hosted by Emory University. 

The Panthers were led by three freshmen who reached the semifinals of their main draws.

The doubles team of Mitchell Corley and Henrique Sizenando made a great run to the B doubles draw semifinals before losing a close match to the eventual champion Methodist.
 

1st Round- Corley/Sizenando (LaGrange) def. Madden/Granholm 8-6
Quarterfinal- Corley/Sizenando (LaGrange) def. Green/Rosenburg (Oglethorpe) 9-8
Semifinal- Howard/Mancini (Methodist) def. Corley/Sizenando 8-6

 Zach Justice reached the semifinals of the C singles draw before losing in a close match to the eventual champion from Methodist.
 
1st Round- Zach Justice (LaGrange) def. Hutcheson (Covenant) 6-2, 7-6
Quarterfinal- Zach Justice (LaGrange) def. Pullen (Berry) 6-2, 6-3
Semifinal- Tarentino (Methodist) def. Zach Justice (LaGrange) 8-5
