Men's Soccer: Panthers close out season with second half rally to tie Huntingdon 2-2

LaGrange rallied in the second half and went on to a 2-2 tie in overtime against Huntingdon in a USA South game Wednesday.

The Panthers (1-15-2, 0-9-1 USA South) knocked Huntingdon (2-10-5, 1-6-3 USA South) out of the USA South Tournament. The Hawks needed a win to qualify for the tournament.

Huntingdon scored in the first 20 seconds of the game. The Hawks added a penalty kick to lead 2-0 at halftime.

The Panthers answered with a pair of second half goals in a two-minute span. Joshua Robles' goal off an assist from Raymond Haas off a corner kick got the Panthers on the scoreboard.

David Flores got the equalizer, scoring off a deflection for his team-leading fifth goal to tie the game 2-2 with 26 minutes left in regulation.

Panther goalkeeper A.J. Wilson made a big save off a shot by Huntingdon's Killian Delmore to keep the game tied. Wilson had five saves in the game.

Haas came within inches of putting the Panthers ahead. He had a shot go off the cross bar in the 84th minute.

Wilson had one save in the overtime period. The Panthers had a couple of scoring chances turned away as the game ended 2-2.
