Piedmont got a second half goal to break a tie and held on for a 3-2 win over LaGrange on Wednesday.

The Panthers (1-9-1, 0-3 USA South) opened the scoring less than two minutes into the game. Raymond Haas sent a cross pass over to Daniel Provence, who sent a header past Piedmont goalkeeper Kenneth Hearn for a 1-0 lead.

The Lions (6-4, 3-1 USA South) tied the game two minutes later on the first of two goals by Collin Little. In the 18th minute, Little got his second goal for a 2-1 lead.

But the Panthers tied the game in dramatic fashion. Kristian Javier scored with just a second remaining in the half to tie the game 2-2.

In the second half, the Lions got the go-ahead goal from Chase Kane in the 57th minute for a 3-2 lead.

In the closing minutes, Javier had three scoring chances only to be turned away by Hearn to preserve the lead for the Lions.
