Men's Soccer: William Peace holds off Panthers' second half rally 3-2

RALEIGH, N.C. - William Peace built a large lead but had to hold off a LaGrange rally for a 3-2 win in the USA South opener Saturday for the Panthers.

William Peace (3-4, 1-2 USA South) led 2-0 at halftime and increased its lead to 3-0 in the 69th minute.

The Panthers got on the board three minutes after the Pacers' third goal. Raymond Haas scored unassisted to make it a 3-1 game.

In the 82nd minute, David Flores drew the Panthers within a goal with an assist from Kristian Javier. Flores and Haas lead the Panthers this season with three goals each.

Goalkeeper A.J. Wilson had seven saves in the game. He had five of the saves in the second half.

The Panthers play at Ferrum on Sunday in a USA South game.
