Men's Soccer: Provence scores two goals to lead Panthers past Warren Wilson 3-1 for first win

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Freshman Daniel Provence scored twice to lead LaGrange to a 3-1 win over Warren Wilson on Saturday. The win was the first of the season for the Panthers (1-3) and also the first for new head coach Matthew Evans. 

Provence broke a scoreless tie in the 36th minute of the first half with his first collegiate goal. Adrien Vakerics assisted on the score.

He put the Panthers up 2-0 less than two minutes in the second half. Ray Haas fed Provence, who got his second goal of the game.

The Owls cut the lead in half in the 74th minute to make it 2-1. But David Flores closed out the game with his first collegiate goal for the 3-1 final.

Sophomore A.J. Wilson had six saves in goal for the Panthers. 

The Panthers host Trinity Baptist on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
