Men's Soccer: Second half goal lifts Huntingdon past Panthers

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Huntingdon got a second half goal and held on for a 1-0 win over LaGrange on Wednesday. The loss was the 10th straight for the Panthers.

The Panthers (3-11) outshot the Hawks 27-12 in the game. They had a 7-4 shots on goal advantage also.

Stacy Terry put in the game winner past goalkeeper Donnie Palmer in the 79th minute. Terry scored off a pass from Robbie Farquhar.

After Terry's goal the Panthers tried to get the tying goal. They had four shots in the final minutes and Hawks' goalkeeper Matt Russell stopped Adrien Vakerics' shot with less than a minute remaining to preserve the win.

The Panthers host Christopher Newport on Saturday in a USA South game. It will be the final home game of the season for the Panthers.
