Ferrum spoiled LaGrange's Senior Day with a 3-1 win in a USA South game Saturday at Panther Field. The loss was the sixth straight for the Panthers, now 2-8 overall and 0-4 in conference play.
The Panthers recognized seniors Harry Hinson, Jame Prince and Chandler Winner in a pre-game ceremony.
The visiting Panthers scored two goals in a two-minute span in the first half to wipe out a 1-0 deficit. Thomas Robinson tied the game at 1-1 in the 37th minute, then Aaron Gustine put in the go-ahead goal to make it 2-1.
Ferrum added an insurance goal in the second half. Asa Fox scored unassisted off a rebound in the 55th minute to up the visiting Panthers' lead to 3-1.
The host Panthers had taken a 1-0 lead just seven minutes into the game. Adrian Vakerics blasted a free kick past goalkeeper Justin Robinson for his third goal of the season.
The Panthers host Concordia-Selma on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
