Men's Soccer: Greensboro stops Panthers 4-1

Greensboro got two early goals and went on to a 4-1 win over LaGrange in a USA South game Sunday at Panther Field. The Panthers slipped to 2-7 overall with fifth straight loss and 0-3 in the USA South.

Morgan Stevenson scored three goals for Greensboro (6-2-2, 2-02 USA South). George Dimopoulos had the other goal for The Pride.

Dimopoulos opened the scoring less than two minutes into the game. He took a pass from Drew Clukey and beat goalkeeper Donnie Palmer for a 1-0 lead.

Stevenson scored his first goal 10 minutes after the score by Dimopoulos to put The Pride up 2-0. The Panthers cut the deficit in half in the 26th minute.

Kevin Folsom served a corner kick into the box. Chandler Winner put a shot past goalkeeper Manbi Nyepon to make it 2-1.

Stevenson scored on a rebound after Palmer stopped his first attempt to put The Pride up 3-1 at the half. He added an insurance goal in the second half for the 4-1 final.
