Men's Soccer: 2011 Team awards announced

The LaGrange College men's soccer team presented its 2011 team awards recently.

Sophomore goalkeeper Donnie Palmer was selected as the team's Most Valuable Player. Palmer played in 14 matches and had a 2.17 goals against average. He had 69 saves and two shutouts.

Sophomore midfielder Jeremy Ham and senior forward Aristote Pierre shared the Golden Boot Award for leading the team in scoring. Ham and Pierre each had three goals during the season. Pierre was selected to the Great South Athletic All-Conference team for the third time. Ham also received the team's Best Offensive Player award.

Junior defender James Prince was the Best Defensive Player. Prince played in and started 14 matches. Senior Mark Torre received the Coaches Award.
