Men's Soccer: Warren Wilson edges Panthers 3-2

Warren Wilson got two goals from Pat Albright to edge LaGrange 3-2 at Panther Field on Saturday. The loss dropped the Panthers to 1-6, while the Owls improved to 3-5-1.

The Panthers dominated the match in shots and shots on goal. The Panthers had a 21-5 shot advantage and 9-4 with on goal shots.

Warren Wilson led 1-0 at halftime. Enrique Timas scored in the 17th minute off a crossing pass from Victor Gollub. The Owls upped their lead to 2-0 when Albright got his first goal five minutes into the second half.

The Panthers cut the deficit in half in the 68th minute. Kevin Folsom scored on a penalty kick to make it 2-1.

Jeremy Ham had a header in front of the goal stopped by the Owls' David Francis and just missed putting the ball in the far post during a two-minute span.

Ham did get the tying goal in the 77th minute, beating Fisher after the Owls turned the ball over. It was Ham's third goal of the season.

But the Owls' got the game winner eight minutes later. Albright beat goalkeeper Donnie Palmer in the 85th minute for a 3-2 lead. The Panthers had four shots, but none on goal, before Albright's score.
