Men's Soccer: Toccoa Falls turns away Panthers 2-0

Toccoa Falls got two first half goals and went on to a 2-0 win over LaGrange at Panther Field on Saturday. The Panthers slipped to 0-4 on the season, while the Eagles improved to 4-1.

Toccoa scored just three minutes into the match. David Brown scored off a penalty kick to put the Eagles up 1-0.

The Panthers appeared to have tied the game in the ninth minute. Lewis McDaniel's goal was waved off because the Panthers were offsides on the play.

The Eagles increased their lead in the 18th minute. Eric Bill scored off a pass from Logan Ferrell to make it 2-0.

The Panthers mounted several attacks in the second half but came away empty. Travis Riner had a shot go wide in the 72 minute and Jeronimo Sanchez's header went over the goal three minutes later.

The Panthers had an 11-10 shot advantage in the match, but had only two shots on goal. Panther goalkeeper Donnie Palmer had three saves in the match.
