Men's Soccer: Panthers fall to Emmanuel on the road
CARNESVILLE, Ga. - Emmanuel got two goals from Ryan Dickson in a 6-0 shutout win over LaGrange on Thursday night at the Rocky Ford Recreation Center. The Panthers fell to 0-3 on the season, while the Lions improved to 3-2.
Emmanuel had a 30-5 shot advantage in the game. Panther goalkeeper Donnie Palmer had eight saves in the match.
Ivan Garcia and Edward Ameyaw had goals sandwiched around a penalty kick goal by Tom Butler for the Lions in the first half. Dickson scored both of his goals in the second half to open up a 5-0 lead. Austin Grudda's header closed out the scoring in the 83rd minute.
The Panthers had two scoring chances midway through the first half. Chandler Winner and Adrien Vakerics each had shots in front of the goal but were turned away by Lion goalkeeper Anel Lilic. Lilic also stopped Dylan Corbett's header in the second half to preserve the shutout.
The Panthers host Toccoa Falls on Saturday at 3 p.m.
