EMORY, Va. - Emory & Henry got a first half goal from P.J. Henson and made it stand up in a 1-0 win over LaGrange on Sunday at Fred Selfe Stadium in the final game of the Emory & Henry Classic. The Panthers were 0-2 in the tournament and 0-2 overall.
Emory & Henry had an 18-4 shot advantage in the game, including 6-1 in shots on goal. Panther goalkeeper Donnie Palmer had five saves in the game.
Henson scored in the 17th minute of the first half. He got free on a breakaway and chipped the ball over Palmer for a 1-0 lead.
The Panthers' only shot on goal came in the second half. Dylan Corbett's shot was stopped by goalkeeper Justin Spencer.
The Panthers play at Emmanuel on Thursday before hosting Toccoa Falls on Saturday.
