Men's soccer hands out 2010 team awards

The LaGrange College men's soccer team handed out team awards at the Fall Sports Banquet.

Sophomore midfielder Matt Sherman was named the team's Most Valuable Player and Best Offensive Player. Sherman was second on the team with four goals and an assist for a total of nine points. He tied for team-best with two game-winning goals.

Senior forward Cameron Williams earned the team's Golden Boot Award as the leading scoring. Williams had a team-high 15 points on six goals and three assists. He tied for team-best with two game-winning goals. Williams was also selected to the GSAC All-Conference team.

Freshman Joel Oliver was named the team's Best Defensive Player. Oliver played in and started 11 games in the Panthers' defensive backfield.

Junior midfielder Brock Morris earned the Coaches Award. Morris started all 15 games for the Panthers. He had a goal and an assist.
