Emmanuel tops Panthers 2-0

Emmanuel College topped LaGrange College 2-0 at Panther Field on Friday. The loss left the Panthers 6-6 on the season, while the Lions evened their record at 7-7.

Emmanuel got a late first half goal from Ben Malone and a second half penalty kick by Sebastian Paz. The Lions had a 23-8 shot advantage in the game, including a 12-4 shots on goal edge.

Panther goalkeeper Donnie Palmer had 10 saves in the game. It was Palmer's second highest save total in a game this season.

The Panthers' best scoring chance came in the second. Drew Kellum broke free but put his shot wide of the goal. Lion goalkeeper Anel Lilic had four saves in the game.

It was Senior Night for three Panthers. Ryan Morse, Cameron Williams and Daniel Yim were honored in pre-game ceremonies.

The Panthers play at Toccoa Falls next Saturday.
