Huntingdon edges Panthers on late goal

All of the scoring came in the second half. The Panthers had five shots in goal in the first half but were unable to get on the scoreboard. The host Hawks had only one shot on goal in the half.

The Panthers opened the second half scoring. Cameron Williams scored on a penalty kick 22 minutes into the second half to put the Panthers up 1-0.

Huntingdon answered with a pair of goals in a six minute span to take a 2-1 lead. Morgan Burke scored both of the goals off assists from Josh Epstein and Stacy Terry.

The Panthers tied the game three minutes after Burke's second goal. Aristote Kamba's crossing pass was headed into the goal by Ryan Wakenigg to make it 2-2 with under nine minutes left in the game.

The Hawks got the game-winner just four minutes after Wakenigg's goal. Rusty Crawley scored off an assist from Christian Harmon for a 3-2 lead.

The Panthers host Atlanta Christian on Friday at 6 p.m.
