Piedmont edges Panthers 2-1 in GSAC game

Piedmont got its first goal in the 22nd minute of the first half. Jorge Pradilla scored off an assist from Jeremy Stille for a 1-0 lead. Four minutes later, Stille scored unassisted to up the Lions lead to 2-0.

The Panthers drew within a goal late in the second half. Harry Hinson sent a through ball to Aristote Kamba. Kamba beat goalkeeper Brian Gaid for the goal with under nine minutes left in the game.

The Panthers were outshot in the game 9-8, but had a 6-3 advantage of shots on goal. Gaid finished the game with five saves.

The Panthers are on the road Saturday at Maryville in a GSAC game.
