Men's Basketball: Panthers receive USA South Tournament championship rings in ceremony

This past weekend, the 2016-17 LaGrange College men's basketball team had a ring ceremony for their third USA South Tournament championship in the past four seasons. The Panthers went 18-11 during the season, capping it off with their fourth straight trip to the NCAA Division III National Tournament.

Rising senior Alex Bonner was the USA South Tournament Most Valuable Player. Graduated senior Justyn Olson and rising junior Travis Thompson joined Bonner on the All-Tournament team. The Panthers defeated top-seeded Averett, second-seeded Methodist, and fourth-seeded William Peace in route to the title. 

The Panthers had four players named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) 2016-17 NABC Honors Court: Graduated senior Jacob Gaetanos (Biology), Olson (Exercise Science), rising senior Duncan Parker (Political Science), rising senior Nate Rosetti (Exercise Science).

The Panthers open the 2017-18 season November 16-17 at the Coaches vs Cancer Tournament, hosted by Penn State-Altoona, in Altoona, Pa.
