Men's Basketball: Panthers receive USA South Tournament championship rings in ceremony

This past weekend, the 2014-15 Panther men's basketball team had a ring ceremony for their second straight USA South Conference Championship. The Panthers ended the season with a 17-12 record, capping it off with a back-to-back USA South Tournament championship run and a second consecutive NCAA Division III National Tournament appearance.

Graduated senior Nick Mitchell was selected as the conference tournament Most Valuable Player for the second year in a row to help lead the Panthers to the title. Sophomore Justyn Olson and junior Mark Wagner contributed down the stretch to seal the championship and joined Mitchell on the All-Tournament team.

Mitchell was a Georgia Basketball Coaches Association (GABCA) All-State and USA South All-Conference first team selection. He was also picked to the National Association of Basketball Coaches' (NABC) South All-District second team and to the D3hoops.com All-South Region third team. Mitchell, along with fellow seniors Jalen Butler and Jordan Johnson were all selected to the NABC Honors Court. Olson was also selected as the Newcomer of the Year by the GABCA.

Many friends, colleagues, and family members gathered to share this great celebration with the Panthers.
