COLUMBUS, Ohio - Junior Logan Lanier fired a final round 3-under par 69 to finish sixth at the Grodin Classic on Tuesday at Columbus Country Club. The Panthers finished 10th in the team standings with a 891 total.
Lanier's round was highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 8th hole. He also had three birdies on the round as he finished the tournament with a 213 total for the three rounds. Lanier tied his collegiate career low round set last season in the second round of the Wynlakes Intercollegiate.
Sophomore Jake Nelson and junior Osborn each had final rounds of 75 as both had 224 totals for the tournament. Senior Alex Ball shot a 79 for a 230 total. Sophomore Eric Havixbeck improved for the second straight round to finish with a 250 total.
The Panthers play in the Royal Lakes/Oglethorpe Fall Invitational on Oct. 5-6 at the Royal Lakes Country Club in Gainesville, Ga. The Panthers won the tournament in 2013 and were third last year.
