Golf: Panthers finish second at Bermuda Collegiate Invitational

The LaGrange golf team finished second Tuesday at the Bermuda Collegiate Invitational played on the Port Royal and Tucker's Point courses.

The third-ranked Panthers started the second round 12 shots back of first round leader Berry. The Panthers shaved nine strokes off the deficit to finish three shots back of the Vikings, finishing with a 629 tournament total.

Sophomore Logan Lanier led the Panthers. Lanier tied for fourth with rounds of 78-75 for a 153 total and a spot on the All-Tournament team.

Sophomores Anthony Scolapio and Osborn Theam tied for 11th with 158 totals. Freshman Eric Havixbeck came in 15th at 161 and senior Cory Howard with a 165 total was tied for 18th.

The Panthers play in the Wynlakes Intercollegiate Invitational in Montgomery, Ala. on March 30-31.
