The LaGrange golf team placed two of its members on the Division III PING All-America teams as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Junior Cory Howard was a second team selection and freshman Osborn Theam was on the third team.
Howard is on the All-America teams for the second straight year. This past season, he made the PING Southeastern All-Region Team, also for the second year in a row. Howard was on the USA South All-Conference first team and earned USA South Academic All-Conference honors. He was low medalist in the USA South Tournament. Howard won the Wynlakes Intercollegiate Invitational and was second at the Golfweek Fall Invitational. He led the team and was third in the USA South scoring average at 73.9 and finished the season 14th in the Golfstat Division III player rankings.
Theam is the first LaGrange freshman on the All-America teams since Bo Tiller was selected in 2007. He was selected to the PING Southeastern All-Region Team and to the USA South All-Conference first team. Theam was named the USA South Golf Rookie of the Year; finishing second on the team and fourth in the USA South with 74.6 scoring average. He tied for seventh at the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament and finished the season ranked 11th in the Golfstat Division III player rankings. Theam also won the Royal Lakes/Oglethorpe Fall Invitational.
