Golf: Panthers in fifth place heading to final round of Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational

JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. - The LaGrange golf team is in fifth place heading to the final round of the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational. The Panthers had a team score of 300 Saturday in the second round. 

Illinois Wesleyan leads the tournament with a two-day total of 582. Oglethorpe is one shot back, followed by St. John Fisher (586), Methodist (588) and the Panthers.

Anthony Scolapio led the Panthers on Saturday with a two-over par 74 over the Jekyll Island Golf Club Pine Lakes course. He finished with two birdies on his final four holes. 

Osborne Theam and Cory Howard each had rounds of 75. Theam is tied for 13th in the individual standings with a 145 total.

Freddie Wolford followed with a 76, while Logan Lanier had a 77.
