Golf: Panthers take second at GSAC Men's Championship Tournament

CLARKESVILLE, Ga. - LaGrange finished second at the Great South Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championship Tournament on Tuesday. The Panthers were one shot back of Maryville in the conference's first ever championship tournament.

Hudson Keener won the individual championship over Maryville's Trey Bridwell and earn GSAC Men's Player of the Year and GSAC All-Conference honors. Keener had rounds of 70 and 71 to finish 3-under par for the tournament. He was the only golfer to finish under par in the tournament.

Hunter Keener shot a final round 72 to finish in a tie for third and joined his brother on the all-conference team. Taylor Wynn shot a final round 75 and was named to the GSAC All-Freshman team.

Freddie Wolford (80) and Bjarki Juliusson (84) rounded out the scoring for the Panthers.

The Panthers now wait to see if they will receive their fifth straight bid to the NCAA Division III championships.
