Golf: Panthers finish sixth at Wynlakes Winter Nationals

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - LaGrange finished its first tournament of the spring sixth at the Wynlakes Winter National. The tournament was held at the Wynlakes Country Club.

The Panthers had a two-day total of 638 in the tournament. They finished only one shot back of Berry for a spot in the top five. The Panthers' final round of 313 was the fifth best of the day.

Seventh-ranked Oglethorpe won the tournament by two strokes over tournament host Huntingdon. Emory and Methodist followed Huntingdon.

Brothers Hudson and Hunter Keener paced the Panthers. The pair tied for 16th in the final individual standings with tournament totals of 158. Hudson Keener had the Panthers' low round of the tournament with a final round four-over par 76.

Taylor Wynn followed the Keeners with a final round 78 and tournament total of 159. Brian Moore finished at 168 and Bjarkl Juliusson at 169.

The Panthers play at the Berry Invitational in Rome, Ga. on March 14-15.
