Panthers close spring season with seventh place finish at Emory Invitational

STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – The LaGrange College golf team finished its spring season with a seventh-place finish at the Emory Spring Invitational. The Panthers had a two-day total of 626 over the Stone Mountain Park golf course.

Greensboro College won the tournament by four strokes over top-ranked Methodist University. The Panthers posted a second round score of 305, the fifth best team round of the day. GSAC member Piedmont and future GSAC member Covenant finished 12th and 13th respectively.

Hudson Keener led the Panthers with a two-day total of 154. Keener posted a second round score of 74, the best round turned in by a Panther. Bo Tiller was one shot back and Adam Garrett three shots back of Keener. Brian Moore had a 161 total, bouncing back with a second round 77. Hunter Keener had a total of 169 for the tournament.

The Panthers await a possible bid to the NCAA championship tournament May 11-14. The Panthers have been to the NCAA championship tournament for three straight years.
