Football: Holmes' TD run gives Panthers third straight USA South Play of the Week
For the third straight week, LaGrange has had the USA South Play of the Week. Sophomore Jamarkis Holmes' touchdown run against Maryville was voted as the top play of Week 9. Holmes' run received 1,480 votes or 62% of the vote (2,332 total votes cast). This play will now be eligible for the USA South Football Play of the Year which will be announced at the conclusion of the regular season. The Panthers' have Marsalis Jackson and Drew Lewinski eligible from the last two weeks. The USA South Athletic Conference's "Football Play of the Week" initiative continues with the 2015 season. For each of the 11 weeks during the regular season, dynamic plays will be submitted by the coaching staffs of each institution. The winners are chosen by fan voting and will be featured both on the USA South website and its social networking outlets (Twitter / YouTube / Instagram). At the end of the season, each weekly winner will be nominated for USA South Football Play of the Year.
