Football: Jackson's diving catch voted as USA South Play of the Week

LaGrange wide receiver Marsalis Jackson's diving touchdown catch was voted the USA South Play of the Week for Week 8. Jackson's TD put the Panthers ahead to stay in a 27-24 win over Ferrum. It is the second week in a row that a LaGrange play has been voted #1.

Jackson's catch received 762 votes; 44 percent of the vote (1,716 total votes cast) and the play is now eligible for the USA South Football Play of the Year which will be announced at the conclusion of the regular season.

The USA South Athletic Conference's "Football Play of the Week" initiative continues with the 2015 season. For each of the 11 weeks during the regular season, dynamic plays will be submitted by the coaching staffs of each institution. The winners are chosen by fan voting and will be featured both on the USA South website and its social networking outlets (TwitterYouTube / Instagram).  At the end of the season, each weekly winner will be nominated for USA South Football Play of the Year.
