Football: Players of the Week for Trine game announced
Head football coach Todd Mooney announced the varsity team Players of the Week for the Trine game.
Sophomore defensive end Jeremy Banks became the first Panther to earn two team awards in the same game. Banks was both the Defensive and Special Teams Player of the Week. Banks tied his season high with six tackles, including two for losses. He added a quarterback sack and broke up a pass. On special teams, Banks blocked a punt, the first by the Panthers this season.
Senior H-back Devin Billings is the Offensive Player of the Week. Billings led the team with five receptions for 66 yards, with a long reception of 15 yards. He moved up to third on the school's career reception list with 93 and fifth with 910 career reception yards.
Freshman running back Winston Johnson is the Scout Team Offensive Player of the Week. Freshman linebacker Connor McNamee is the Scout Team Defensive Player of the Week.
