Seniors Devin Billings, Josh Clinton and Kyle Sanders were announced Thursday by head football coach Todd Mooney as the 2011 team captains.

Billings, an H-back, was a team captain in 2010. He missed the final six games of the season with an injury, finishing with 14 receptions for 119 yards.

Clinton, a defensive back, was the team's Defensive Player of the Year in 2010. He led team with 62 total tackles and had a team-best 46 solo tackles.

Sanders played on the defensive line and had 38 total tackles in 2010. He led the team with seven tackles for losses.

The Panthers open the 2011 season at home Sept. 3 against Birmingham Southern.
